MTN Project Fame season six entered its final leg with the 7th elimination show held last Saturday, September 14, 2013, which saw contestants Simon and Jimoh bow out of the competition.
At the eliminations, Immaculate, Niniola, Simon, Roland
and Jimoh turned out to be the contestants with the least votes making
them probationers for the evening. The five contestants had to mount the
stage one after the other performing the songs they did the previous
week, in an attempt to impress the judges and escape eliminations. At
the end of the day, it was Simon and Jimoh who got the least votes, and
were evicted.
At Sunday’s nomination show, the top six
contestants took to the stage to entertain the audience, Judges, guest
judge singer/songwriter, Sola Allyson, and Faculty with
the best of REGGAE and DANCE HITS. There were amazing performances of
reggae songs, as well as dance hits from the contestants with the best
performances for the night according to the judges going to Olawale, Roland, Omolayo and Margaret, while Niniola and Immaculate were encouraged to work more on their voices.
At the end, the Judges decided that the
six contestants left will continue staying in the Academy till the grand
finale of the competition, hence there would be no eliminations till
the final showdown.
