Take a look at this season’s American Idol judges, don’t they look so cute together? They are all full of happiness and excitement to begin the 13 season of the great music reality show. But are we missing out somebody?
The only black guy, Randy Jackson who used to sit on this table for close to 12 years is no more in the happy picture. So where did he go?
First of all, these three loving-looking stars have already began their hectic job of finding the several contestants from the chosen states of America. They began with Boston on Tuesday (September 3) and won’t rest until the entire country feels the heat. Former judge Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr joined Keith Urban on the table and we look forward to an exciting season 13 with loads of good music and exceptionally talented contestants.
Harry Connick Jr dished out about being a huge fan of the show even when he was just a mentor on it. He told FOX that he is so honored to be called a judge now. At least he will be in a position to help emerging performers ‘find their way’
He had to take on tweeter on his first day as part of the jury, “So excited to be on @AmericanIdol!!! I’ve already judged my wife and daughters like three times this morning. Do they sell gavels on amazon?” Meanwhile Miss Lopez tweeted about her fellow judge Connick, with the caption, “‘Don’t judge me’ #firstdayquotes.”
Urban, who is the only returning judge from season 12, took a playful dig at the new comer Connick, “First day on the set of @AmericanIdol in Boston!! Absolutely loved working with Jennifer and Harry Styles!”
Ok, the very objective Jimmy Iovine will be vacating his role as the contestants’ mentor to be replaced by the former judge Randy Jackson. His first words were, “Surprise, surprise! I am so happy to be back as part of this amazing show that started it all.” We wonder if he’s truly happy not sitting with the other three!
American Idol returns for its 13th season in January 2014 on Fox with Ryan Seacrest as The Host.
