Arsene Wenger Remains Arsenal Coach – Stan Kroenke

Arsenal’s majority share holder Stan Kroenke otherwise known as silent Stan has given an interview made it clear that he has no intention of sacking Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. The American in the interview made it clear that he wants Wenger to remain as Arsenal’s manager for the long term to win more laurels for the gunners.
“There’s no one I feel more strongly about and I think he is doing a great job,” says Kroenke. “We have been very supportive, we have never wavered, we are proud of him, proud of the club, the way the club is run and how it holds itself out to the world.”
Wenger is now in the final 2 years of his current Arsenal contract and when asked if he sees Wenger as central to the club’s on field and off field success, the American gave an emphatic “YES”.
“That’s exactly right,” he says. “Arsène knows how we feel, what our philosophy is, what we want to do and I feel like we are totally aligned. I think he wants to do it the exact same way as we do.”
He also hinted the club were desperate to sign Liverpool’s Luiz Suarez but looking back, the American alluded to the fact that the pursuit was a blatant waste of the club’s time as it became obvious to them Suarez was never going to be allowed to leave Liverpool.
Look, Arsene (Wenger) had a view, our team had a view, they had a view and their view was, he wasn’t going anywhere,’ Kroenke said.
‘I never saw them waver from it. I guess at some level there is a number that gets anybody out of anywhere but there was nothing within the realm of what we knew about that could have got him out of there.
Personally, I think it is good news that the American has finally spoke and the fact that Wenger got his backing in the pursuit of Luiz Suarez means the Arsenal manager may just be able to burn the cash again once the January transfer window opens. Like we all already know, it all depends on Wenger wanting to spend the cash or not.
And with Rodger stating Suarez is a 50-60 million pounds striker, I will be not be surprised if he ends up signing for us should we bid an amount between 50-60 million which Liverpool obviously see as his valuation and rightly so if you consider how over inflated the market current is.
