The Bhoys triumphed 5-0 on aggregate and will now face Swedish side Elfsborg in the next qualifying round.
Ambrose, who was rushed back to the team last week due to the shortage of defenders in Neil Lennon’s side, rose above the defence to score the opening goal in the 16th minute.
The team had to wait till the 70th minute before scoring the second goal via Greek striker Giorgios Samaras.
“I thought our back four looked good, it is a couple of clean sheets but we will have to improve a lot for next week. We will have to be better with the movement and crisper with the passing and obviously be a little bit more clinical in front of goal,” Lennon told reporters after the game.
Celtic will host Elfsborg next week in the first leg game of third round qualifying
